End User Computing (EUC) transfers responsibility for supplying and maintaining ICT services and equipment from government agencies to a contracted private provider, DXC Technology. This will enable government to keep pace with technology changes across the whole-of-government in a timely manner.
Staff in government agencies across the state will be able to use devices such as desktops, laptops and tablets without government having to own and manage the devices. DXC, which has specialist expertise in ICT equipment and services, will be able to leverage its global reach to reduce costs and under an Industry Participation Plan embedded in the contract with the government, contribute to significant economic and other benefits to South Australia.
DPC and SA Health will be the first agencies to implement EUC with other agencies transitioning over two years.
